Why Use Recycled Plastic?
Recycled plastic is a life changing product. Imagine a stylish product that is maintenance free and never have to sand, paint or treat- ever. We at Murray’s Recycled Plastic have developed this dream construction material into street furniture and by using recycled plastic it will be a benefit to everyone – including the planet. With the wealth of experience, craftsmanship and design expertise, our wish is to continue to work with our customers to give them an economically viable and environmentally friendly product.
There is no sanding, treating or painting necessary- just wash down with warm soapy water. This will significantly reduce your maintenance costs and time to sit back and relax and enjoy life.
Recycled Plastic surface is knot free, evenly coloured and wear resistant. It is very heavy and will not blow over. As it is non- absorbing, difficult to ignite and paint can be easily removed with solvents.
Health & Safety
Recycled Plastic does not rot like timber or rust like metal. It is splinter free and the decking is a slip resistant product. It has a 40+ years expected life span giving it an environmentally-friendly advantage.
The life costs of maintenance, installation and replacement of timber products is three times more expensive than those made from recycled plastic.
Recycled plastic products offer sustainability benefits and require minimal upkeep and repair.
Peace of Mind
Our durable and weather proof products offer years of quality and enjoyment while still maintaining an attractive look.
The material is made up of 100% high quality recycled plastic residue, mainly from the nutrition and packaging industry.
The material is composed of, in terms of percentage, a proportion of LDPE (Low Density Polyethylene), HDPE (High Density Polyethylene) and PP (Polypropylene).
The different plastics are grounded, mixed and fused together under high temperatures and pressed into moulds. During production, the material is mass coloured in order to obtain a homogenous colour.
Finish & Look
The surface is knot free, evenly coloured and shows a faced, slightly shining structure. Black, brown, green or grey. The plastic is thoroughly mass coloured.
The material is easy to work (comparable to wood): screwing, nailing, sawing, drilling, planing, milling, stapling etc. are possible. Rough drill before screwing at low speed and use a circular saw (WIDIA).
In products made of recycled plastic, tolerances up to 3% on the measurements are possible.
